- PublicationEco-Friendly One Pot Synthesis of Coumarin Derivatives by Pechmann Condensation using Tamarind Juice as a Biocatalyst(International Journal of Innovative Science and Research Technology, 2023) Navale, Dinesh; Ranade, Prasanna; Zote, Santosh; Kulal, Dnyaneshwar; Wagh, SwapnilAn efficient and eco-friendly synthetic method has been established for synthesis of 7-hydroxy-4-methyl coumarin and its derivatives using tamarind juice as a biocatalyst. The condensation reaction of Substituted phenol with ethyl acetoacetate (EAA) successfully carried out using tamarind juice as a green and efficient catalyst at 90°C in aqueous condition. This green biocatalyst has been utilised effectively for pechmann reaction with good yield of product, easy workup and eco-friendly reaction conditions.
- PublicationStudy of Water Pollution in Teen Talav, Ashish Talav and Wamanwadi Well in Chembur, South Mumbai Region of Mumbai District(Journal of Applicable Chemistry, 2018) Navale, Dinesh; Nalawade, Vighnesh; Ranade, Prasanna; Barhate, VasantChembur is the south Mumbai region of Mumbai district of the Maharashtra state of India. In this area big industries like RCF, BPCL, HPLC, and Aegis are located. In addition to this many leather processing, steel processing, food processing and small textile industries are well established in this area. There are many lakes and Wells. The drain water coming from this industry directly discharges to the lakes as well as it enters in well through soil percolation. Water of these sources normally uses for laundry and cleaning purposes, therefore it is necessary to measure the water quality of this source. In the said research project physical parameter like pH, Color, Odor, Turbidity and Chemical parameters like acidity/alkalinity hardness COD, BOD and TDS were studied and the result obtained compared with critical limits.
